Additional information: Description: ***SOLD*** ***SOLD*** ***SOLD*** ***SOLD*** ***SOLD*** This hard to find Massey Ferguson 1150 has a rebuilt Perkins Diesel in it and other updates that ran over $10,000 the last 3 and 11 years ago (with receipts). Everything was in-frame rebuilt on the engine 3 years ago in 2018 and new valve job, new sleeves, piston, rings, rod and crank bearings, main bearings, new rebuilt injector pump, etc. - except they didn't replace the crankshaft. So about 2 years ago they were using it and the crankshaft went out (it was miked when it was rebuilt). The farmer heard a ping and it started vibrating so he shut it down right away. I asked the farmer for what he'd recommend on getting this rebuilt engine going and installing a new crankshaft. One approach is if you remove the heavy cast iron bottom pan the crankshaft and oil pump are right there (the oil pump was rebuilt when last overhauled). If you put a new crankshaft in that way from the bottom after splitting the tractor you should not have to pull the head off and can leave the top of the engine the way it is. His best guess is there is a break in the middle of the crankshaft as that is where the most stress occurs. He felt a little bump in the floorboard that last time driving it when he parked it right after that. One other time in his life a tractor had a crankshaft break and it was the same feeling. The other idea is to open the engine from the top or pull it out so you can check the head, pistons, etc.. We can recommend a Midwest parts house that bought up many NOS Massey parts years ago that probably has a new crankshaft for reasonable. The farmer now retired had someday planned on the certified mechanic who worked on it go into the engine again but he then passed away. Now with the retired farmers age it's time to find a new home for this 146 HP Massey with 8-Cylinder Diesel. Tractor was on a 200 acre corn, bean and cotton farm. New brakes around 2010 and rear end was gone through then too along with a new clutch (2 stage). So the clutch and hydraulics are excellent. Also in 2010 it had installed a new M&W turbo which then did 162 HP on the dyno. Dual remotes, duals, 540/1000 PTO, 3-Point Hitch, Canopy ROPS and front weights as shown. The steering wheel is adjustable and as shown it's currently at full height. All 4 rear tires / duals were brand new in 2010 and are still at or over 90% as shown. Fronts are probably 80-90% with one newer than the other. It could use a new seat cushion now as shown and the battery box hood cover is there it's just inside in his shed. Located just 25 miles east of Anderson, SC. With the duals estimated at 15,600 lbs. total weight. Duals do go with it have now been removed for transport if you plan to pick this up yourself. We've had some interest in the total size of this 1150 to go in a container. With the duals removed now at the widest point at the axles it is 90âEUR wide so it will go in a container. It is 108âEUR tall as it is now, but the canopy, muffler and ROPS bar can be removed by someone and then it is 84âEUR tall so it will go in a container with those removed. The roll bar can be removed by removing 2 bolts on each side. The tractor is 170âEUR long so just over 14'. The duals would add about 5' more if laid flat and stacked or about 3' if put together and stood upright. U.S. Delivery available from SC for just $1.25/mile one-way if over 500 miles. Local / regional delivery $2-$3 per mile one-way. Financing is available with business and farm rates available 2.75% to 7% in general. Rates on consumer / personal or business equipment loans from 6-7% on good 650+ scores. We can also work with scores down to 550 at higher rates in a lot of cases. Will consider trades.
