Established in 1998, Mergon Corporation currently operates a state of the art facility in Anderson, South Carolina. As part of the Mergon Group the company has developed particular expertise in the design, development, manufacture and testing of SORE fuel tanks (Small Off Road Engines). In addition the company has developed strong supply partnerships with customers in the Automotive, Business Equipment, Waste Management and Garden Equipment sectors.
We are currently sourcing applications for a Production Manager role!
The successful candidate will have ownership for:
Managing the discipline in production and ensure our safety, quality and production systems are being followed.
Ensuring that all your direct reports and production associates are treated fairly, correctly trained and motivated.
Developing members of the Production Department to fulfil their potential within the organization.
Managing production Supervisors and supporting positions to ensure the production is being handled as efficiently to our standard costing.
Ensuring housekeeping and 5S standards are maintained to the highest level.
Efficiently planning production to meet customer release schedules.
Maintaining machine operator levels exactly match the production plan.
Managing new product introductions from initial trials to full production
Driving continuous improvement processes within the organisation
The successful candidate will be degree qualified & have 10
years industry experience, (with ideally some experience in a similar blow molding company in the automotive and industrial sector). In addition, the candidate will have 5
years experience in a people management role, with a focus on developing & mentoring key talent.
