This position is located in the Anderson County Community Based Services Program of the Child and Adolescent Clinic, 515 Camson Road, Anderson, SC 29625 of the Anderson-Oconee-Pickens Mental Health Center.
As a Mental Health Professional I -Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) is a family-centered, evidence-based, comprehensive treatment for teens and young adults.
The MDFT program provides home and community-based services to teens and young adults and their families.
MDFT provides individual adolescent, parent, and family sessions to address youth substance use, delinquency, antisocial and aggressive behaviors, mental health disorders and school problems.
MDFT improves parental and family functioning in an effort to prevent out-of-home placement.
This position will be responsible for providing therapeutic services to those identified families.
Training in MDFT by model developers will be provided.
Minimum and Additional Requirements A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.
Preferred:
A master's degree in guidance, counseling or the social sciences and one (1) year post master degree experience excluding internships.
Preferred Qualifications Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
